so i finally pulled the trigger on a mini 4 pro last month and ive been using one of those cheap foam lined hardshell cases i found on amazon but honestly its kind of a pain because nothing fits right and the drone shifts around even with foam padding stuffed in there. im planning a trip in a few weeks and kind of nervous about checking it in luggage or even just throwing it in an overhead bin.

what cases are people actually using for travel? doesnt have to be a specific brand just curious if anyone has found something that doesnt cost like $150 and actually holds everything ? drone, extra batteries, nd filters, maybe the fly more combo stuff. also does anyone travel with their landing pad in the same bag or do you just fold it and throw it in your backpack?

i went through like three different cases before settling on the Pgytech one and honestly its been really solid. fits the mini 4 with the fly more combo no problem, has a spot for filters too if you get the filter wallet insert thing separately. not exactly cheap but way better than gambling on random amazon stuff.

for the landing pad i just fold mine and clip it to the outside of my backpack with a carabiner, its not perfect but it works and saves a ton of space inside the bag. some of the newer foldable pads roll up pretty small now which is nice.

i just use a regular camera bag with dividers and added some extra foam padding around the drone itself. works fine honestly, maybe not as protective as a hard case but ive never had a problem. though i only do carry-on so maybe thats why lol
