the thing nobody tells you about your first race is that its going to feel way faster in person than anything you've done solo. like even if you've flown the exact same gates the crowd and the other q
ok so i signed up for a local MultiGP qualifier kind of on impulse and now its thursday and im freaking out a little. ive been flying maybe 8 months, mostly just messing around at the park and doing the occasional time trial stuff on Velocidrone but never actually raced against other people in person. my quad is a pretty standard 5 inch, betaflight 4.4, running RCINPower ECO 2306 motors, nothing special.
i genuinely dont know what the format is going to look like. like how many practice laps do you usually get before they throw you into a heat. do people swap props between rounds or is that weird. also should i be running lower rates for something like this or just fly what im comfortable with. i feel like i should change something but also everyone says dont change anything before a race and i get why but it still feels wrong to show up with my everyday setup
