ok so this has been driving me insane for about two weeks. i upgraded my vtx to a rush tank solo running at 400mw and ever since then ive been getting this weird rolling interference pattern in my feed, like horizontal lines that kind of pulse. it wasnt there before with my old vtx which was just a generic 200mw unit. before you ask yes i checked the channel, yes i verified the band, yes i tried multiple channels including i know arent being used nearby.

the antennas im using on the quad are a tbs triumph lhcp, and on the goggle side ive got the stock fatsharks plus a rapidfire with two aftermarket pagodas. i initially thought maybe the triumph was damaged so i swapped to a different antenna and still getting it. power filtering on the vtx side i added a 1000uf cap on the battery lead and nothing changed. im kind of stumped at this point, the interference pattern almost looks like video noise from the camera itself but i checked the feed direct through the camera and its fine.

running a runcam phoenix 2 if thats relevant. anyone seen something like this before

that rolling line pattern specifically sounds like it could be a ground loop issue between your vtx and camera more than an antenna problem. the rush tank is known to be a bit sensitive to how its grounded on the board. have you tried running the camera on a completely seperate power lead directly from the battery or a filtered pdb output rather than off the vtx 5v or 9v pad? sometimes when you go from a low power vtx to something putting out 400mw the increased current draw messes with the shared ground in ways that didnt matter before. wouldnt hurt to try before you go swapping more antennas out

also check if the vtx is actually locked into the channel or if its still scanning ? some of the rush units ive dealt with do this thing where they dont fully save the channel setting after a power cycle and they kind of drift around briefly when they boot up. probably not your issue given how you described it but worth checking in the betaflight vtx tables that the channel is hardcoded and not relying on the vtx to remember it on its own

also totally off topic but what mount are you using for the phoenix 2, im trying to source a tpu mount for mine and cant find anything that fits right
