Looking to upgrade from my old Mavic Air 2 and torn between the Mini 4 Pro and Air 3S. I mainly shoot landscapes and family stuff on weekends, nothing professional. The Mini's portability is appealing since I hike a lot, but the Air 3S dual cameras seem pretty sweet.

Is the Air 3S worth the extra $400-500? Or should I stick with the Mini 4 Pro and save some cash? Any real-world experience with both would be awesome!

Also worried about all this DJI ban stuff - should I buy now or wait?

I've owned both and for hiking, the Mini 4 Pro wins hands down. The weight difference is massive when you're carrying it for miles. Image quality is honestly very close for social media and basic editing.

Air 3S owner here! The dual cameras are game-changers for versatility, but honestly if you're not doing paid work, the Mini 4 Pro is probably the smarter choice. Save the money and put it toward accessories or DJI Care.

Regarding the ban stuff - existing drones will still work fine, just might have limited firmware updates after Dec 2025. I'd buy now if you're planning to get one anyway. The Air 3S has better low-light performance if that matters for your shooting style.
