so ive been flying freestyle for about 8 months now and i cant seem to get my rolls to feel snappy. like theyre smooth but they feel heavy if that makes sense. im on a 5inch with 2306 motors, running betaflight 4.4, and ive bumped my roll P up a decent amount but it starts to get that buzzy propwash feeling around 25 and i dont wanna go higher. i feel like im watching videos of other peoples flying and their quads just like flick and mine kinda... lumbers? not sure if its a D term thing or if im just not throwing inputs fast enough. rates maybe?

honestly sounds like your D is too high relative to P, it dampens the response and makes everything feel sluggish even if P is up there. also check your TPA breakpoint, if its cutting in too early it'll neuter your tune at anything above like half throttle which is exactly when you want the snap. what are your rates set to? i was on pretty conservative rates for ages and switching to higher acro trainer style rates made a huge difference just because i was actually commanding faster rotation.

i had the exact same thing and for me it was actually just rates lol. felt like the quad was fighting me and it turned out i just wasnt giving it enough room to move fast. tried RCRate around 1.8 and bumped super rate to like.7 and suddenly everything felt more alive. might not be a tune issue at all tbh
