this has been bugging me for a while and im not sure if its a me problem or a hardware thing. ive got the RC controller, the one with the built in screen, and every once in a while it just drops connection for like 2-4 seconds then comes back. drone hovers fine during it and i get it back no problem but its obviously nerve wracking especially if im any distance out.

doesnt seem to happen in any consistent pattern, sometimes its fine for weeks, then itll do it three times in one flight. ive updated firmware, tried different frequencies, the whole thing. i fly mostly in suburban areas so i know theres interference but this started kind of suddenly a few months ago so im not sure why it would get worse. anyone dealt with this or have any idea what to check next

check your antennas on the RC, sounds obvious but one of mine had worked itself slightly loose at the hinge point and i kept getting these phantom disconnects. once i made sure it was fully seated and oriented properly (horizontal for horizontal flight, vertical pointed up works better in some situations) mine basically stopped doing it. also worth checking if theres anything new in your environment ? a new router, neighbors got some new equipment, anything like that. 2.4 and 5.8 congestion has gotten genuinely worse in a lot of areas over the last couple years.

mine did somethng similar after a firmware update a while back, like it just got flaky for no obvious reason. i ended up doing a full refresh of the RC, wiped it back to factory and re-paired everything and it actually fixed it. no idea why. might be worth trying if you havent already, pain to set back up but its not that bad really
