random question but im curious if most people here are like full drone obsessives or if this is just one of several things you're into. i got into fpv like two years ago and it slowly kind of ate my whole weekend life, wife is not thrilled. before that i was really into RC cars and a bit of photography so i guess drones were kind of inevitable for me

feels like a lot of crossover with people who do photography or videography but also met a few guys at the field who were pure adrenaline fpv types who couldnt care less about footage quality which is totally valid too

hiking and drones go together really well for me, i just bring the mavic on trails and if i find something cool i launch. keeps both hobbies alive without having to choose. the only annoying part is national parks basically saying no to everything

i do woodworking too and honestly the two hobbies could not be more different which is probably why i like having both. one is slow and quiet and smells nice, the other is loud and you're always checking your battery percentage with mild anxiety
