okay so ive been fighting this for about three weeks and im at the point where im ready to throw the whole thing in a lake. running a dji rs3 pro on a fairly heavy hex build, total takeoff weight is around 4.8kg. everything is balanced correctly, ive gone through the balancing procedure probably six times at this point, and for the first minute or two of any given flight the gimbal works perfectly.
then at some point, usually when i do any kind of aggressive yaw or if theres any wind, the tilt axis just slowly creeps downward until its basically pointing at the ground and then the gimbal seems to lock up and stop responding to the joystick. if i land and restart the gimbal it comes back fine but then does it again.
at first i thought it was a balance issue but ive ruled that out i think. my next guess is either a motor overheating on the tilt axis or maybe some kind of vibration problem causing the imu to freak out. the hex does have some vibes in a certain rpm range that i havent fully sorted yet. anyone dealt with this kind of thing on a large setup
