just ordered a mini 4 pro combo (the fly more one) and im trying to figure out what else i actually need before it arrives. ive seen people talk about ND filters and landing pads and cases and honestly its a bit overwhelming. i dont want to spend a hundred dollars on stuff i dont need but also dont want to be missing something obvious on my first flight.

for context im mainly going to be flying around parks and hiking trails, nothing crazy, just want nice footage for personal use. no plans to do paid work or anything. the fly more combo already comes with extra batteries and a bag i think so maybe im overthinking this

honestly for casual use you probably dont need much at first. the fly more bag is decent enough. if i had to say one thing worth getting early its a good set of ND filters, not because you absolutely need them immediately but because once you see the difference on a sunny day you cant unsee it. the footage just looks so much smoother. Freewell makes a set for the mini 4 that isnt too expensive. a landing pad is nice if youre launching from dirt or grass a lot since the mini 4 pro sensors on the bottom can pick up dust pretty easy. thats genuinely it though, dont let anyone sell you on a ton of stuff you wont use

extra memory cards. sounds obvious but the combo pack doesnt include one and id grab two so youre not scrambling. get a fast one, like V30 rated at minimum or youll have issues with the 4k recording. i bought a cheap off brand one when i first got mine and had so many corrupted clips before i figured out that was the problem.
