saw a post on facebook about a casual fly-in at Lakewood park on the 14th, looks like its organized by the local AMA club or something. ive never been to one of these things before, not sure what to expect. do people just show up and fly or is there like a schedule and stuff? also wondering if its worth bringing my mini 3 or if everyone there is gonna have way more serious gear and ill look like a noob lol

ive been to a few of those AMA club events and honestly its pretty chill, no pressure at all. people bring everything from tiny whoops to big 7 inch freestyle builds, nobody cares what you show up with. usually theres some informal stuff happening like people showing off new gear or doing pattern flying but mostly its just people hanging out and flying whenever they feel like it. bring your mini 3, youll be fine

oh nice i think i saw that same post. im in the area, might show up too if the weather holds. never actually flown around other people before so kinda nervous about it tbh
