ok so i went out to the coast last weekend and did this flyby along a cliff face, maybe 4 or 5 meters from the rock, going pretty quick with sport mode on. came home and the footage is genuinely cool looking but theres something about it i cant put my finger on. like it doesnt feel cinematic even though the location is amazing and the move itself is solid

thinking it might be the speed, maybe too fast? or possibly the framing. im not great at editing so maybe i just need to slow it down in post but idk if thats gonna look weird. anyone willing to take a look if i upload it somewhere

yeah upload it, hard to say without seeing it. but my first guess is the 180 degree shutter rule thing - if you were in sport mode at high speed and your shutter was too fast the motion looks kind of stuttery and your brain registers it as wrong even if you cant explain why. thats usually what makes drone footage feel like gopro footage instead of film if that makes sense

could also be the horizon, cliff flybys are tricky because the camera can drift a little and you dont notice in the moment but when you watch it back its slightly off and it subconciously bugs you. i had this exact problem, had to do a lot of warp stabilizer stuff in premiere which kind of softened the whole thing. just upload it and people will figure it out faster than trying to describe it
