so ive been planning this Iceland trip for like 6 months and obviously bringing the mini 3 pro. done a bit of research but the rules over there seem kinda confusing, some sites say you need to register, others say under 250g is fine, not sure what to believe anymore

also just generally curious if anyone has flown there, the wind situation looks brutal from what ive read. any spots worth hitting or spots to avoid? mostly want to do some landscape stuff around the south coast, maybe near vatnajokull if the weather cooperates

went last september and yeah the wind is no joke, lost maybe 3 or 4 potential flights just because it was gusting too hard near the coast. inland around the highlands was actually more manageable weirdly. Sk?gafoss area was decent in the early morning before the tourist crowds showed up.

registration wise I honestly just registered to be safe even with the mini 3, takes like 10 minutes on the Samg?ngustofa website. didnt want to deal with any hassle if someone asked. nobody did ask but still

not been to Iceland but just jumping in to say check the notam situation carefully around Reykjavik, there's controlled airspace that catches people off guard apparently. saw a post about it on reddit a while back
