been going back and forth on this for weeks. my buddy has the mini 3 pro and the footage looks really good but im wondering if theres something newer coming out that i should wait for or if thats just a dumb reason to keep putting it off. also not sure if i need the pro version or if the regular mini 3 is fine for just casual weekend flying. i dont do any real estate or commercial stuff just want nice video for personal use maybe some travel stuff

theres always something new coming out, thats just how it is with DJI. if you wait forever youll never buy anything. the regular Mini 3 is honestly fine for what you're describing, the pro version is nice but the obstacle avoidance stuff is kinda overhyped imo for casual flying, you mostly just learn to fly without relying on it anyway. get the fly more combo if you can swing it, the extra batteries make a huge differance on a full day out

yeah i had the same paralysis when i was starting. ended up just buying the mini 2 at the time and zero regrets tbh even though thats older now. for travel stuff the mini 3 is great because it stays under 249g so you avoid a lot of registration headaches in different countries which is actually kind of a big deal if you're going somewhere in europe. the pro sensors are nice but not necesary unless you're flying in really tight spots
