someone in another group mentioned Autel has something coming that's supposed to compete more directly with the mavic 3 pro range, not just the EVO lite stuff. i tried looking it up and theres a few vague posts on some chinese tech forums that got screenshotted but nothing concrete. could be nothing, could be a real announcement. Autel has been pretty quiet lately which is either a bad sign or they're saving up for something.

im not necessarily in the market right now but i switched from DJI to Autel a while back after some of the data concerns stuff and id be curious to see what they do next. the EVO nano plus is still honestly pretty solid for the price but the image quality ceiling feels like it's getting more noticeable compared to newer DJI stuff. anyone tracking this or have any info

i saw something similar floating around, think it was on a Taiwanese hardware leak site. grain of salt obviously but the specs being thrown around sounded pretty ambitious. larger sensor than the current EVO lineup and supposedly a longer transmission range. but i've seen Autel "announcements" fizzle out before so i'd wait for something official before getting excited.

the data concern thing is real though and I respect the reasoning for switching even if the DJI stuff is harder to beat on pure specs right now. competition is good regardless.

tbh i feel like Autel always seems to announce things and then the actual release is like six months later than expected and the price ends up higher than the leaks suggested. not trying to be down on them, i think they make decent drones, but their product cadence is just kinda all over the place compared to DJI. would love to be wrong tho if they actually drop something compelling
