so this has been driving me nuts for the past couple weeks. im flying my mavic 3 and somewhere between 300-500m out it just drops link. not every time but like 60% of flights. it reconnects usually within a few seconds but its still super annoying and honestly a little scary depending on where im flying.

at first i thought it was interference from the neighborhood, lots of wifi networks around here, but ive had the same issue out at the reservoir which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. running on 2.4ghz mostly because 5.8 felt worse in testing. OcuSync is supposed to handle this stuff better than it does i feel like.

controller batteries are fine, RC-N1, firmware is current. havent changed anything hardware wise. anyone dealt with this or have any idea where to start

had something almost identical with my mini 3 pro last spring. ended up being the antenna orientation on the controller ? i was holding it kind of angled weird out of habit and apparently the signal nulls out in certain directions with those flat panel antennas. once i made sure the antennas were perpendicular to the aircraft it cleared up a lot. probably not the only thing but worth checking before you go deep into settings.

also worth mentioning, try doing a radio frequency scan in the DJI fly app before you take off. if youre in a congested area itll show you which channels are cleaner and you can manually lock to one instead of letting it auto-switch. auto mode can sometimes cause those brief dropouts when it decides to hop channels mid flight.

is your phone overheating by any chance? sounds dumb but my pixel got hot on a summer day and the wifi/BT chip started doing weird stuff that messed with the controller connection. threw me off for weeks before i figured it out
