flying in wind ? how much is too much and how do i actually get better at it

honestly just fly in it more, thats kind of the only real answer lol. i was the same way and then i just forced myself to go out on bad days and within a few sessions it stopped feeling so chaotic. yo
so ive been flying for about 8 months now mostly on calm days because honestly wind just stresses me out. yesterday i took my mavic 3 out and it was maybe 12-15mph gusts and i just felt completely out of control even though the drone was technically fine. like it would hold position okay but the moment i tried to do anything intentional it felt like i was fighting the whole time.
i know the drone can handle way more than that wind wise but i think my inputs were all wrong. i was overcorrecting constantly and i think that made it worse. is there like a method to practicing in wind or do most people just kind of gradually expose themselves to windier conditions and learn that way? also at what point wind speed wise do you just call it and go home, for cinematic stuff i mean not just for safety
