Just got back from a trip where I almost had my entire drone bag confiscated at security because of battery storage. Turns out airlines prohibit lithium-ion batteries in checked baggage and I had packed everything wrong.
The FAA has specific rules - batteries under 100Wh can go in carry-on with no limit, but you need to check your drone's manual or battery label for the Wh rating. My Mini 3 Pro batteries are only 43.6Wh so I was fine once I moved everything to carry-on.
Anyone else have close calls with battery rules? What's your packing routine now?
