what cases are people actually using for travel with a mini 3?

so i've been using the stock dji bag that came with my fly more combo and honestly its been fine for just throwing in the car but i've got a flight coming up next month and i want to bring the drone as carry-on and im not sure the soft bag is gonna cut it for overhead bin stuff, plus TSA always makes me nervous when i have a bunch of batteries in something floppy

ive looked at the lykus cases and a few pelican-style ones on amazon but i genuinely cant tell which ones are sized right without just ordering and hoping. does anyone have one they actually use for flying commercial? doesnt need to be anything fancy just needs to fit the drone, maybe 3 batteries and a couple ND filters

i went through like three cases before landing on the torvol quad pitstop and honestly its been great for me but that might be overkill for a mini 3. for that size drone i'd actually just look at the Jsver or Lekufee cases on amazon, they're basically the same factory mold and run like 25-35 bucks. the foam cutouts are already shaped for the mini series and there's a little section for batteries on the side. fits fine in overhead bins, ive done it a handful of times now without any issues. just pull the batteries out and put them in your personal item bag since airlines want lipo under 100wh accessible anyway.

oh yeah the battery thing is key, i got stopped at security once because i had them inside the case and the agent wanted to see them individually. wasnt a huge deal but added like 10 minutes. also just a heads up if you're gonna be shooting anything where the light is tricky, worth grabbing a small filter wallet or case to keep with the drone bag because loose NDs rattling around in foam cutouts will eventually scratch, learned that one the hard way lol
