so ive been dealing with this for like three weeks now and its driving me insane. im flying my mavic 3 classic, usually in an open field about 800 meters out, nothing crazy, and the video feed just drops. not the whole connection, just the video. then maybe 10 seconds later it comes back. RC controller shows signal strength is fine the whole time, still showing 4 bars or whatever, but the feed just goes black.

at first i thought it was maybe interference from the cell tower near the field but ive tried two other spots and it still does it. tried switching from 2.4 to 5.8 ghz and honestly it seemed worse on 5.8 so i went back. updated firmware last week too. im kind of running out of ideas here. anyone seen this before or is my RC unit dying on me

had almost the exact same thing last summer. turned out my RC2 had a loose antenna connection internally. like the coax fitting inside wasnt fully seated. you could wiggle the external antenna and make it worse or better. ended up sending it back under warranty and DJI replaced the unit no questions asked. if youre still in warranty period id just go that route before you spend too much time chasing software fixes

that said, check if there are any other DJI pilots nearby using the same channel. occusync 3 is pretty good at avoiding interference but ive seen it struggle in areas where theres a lot of 2.4ghz traffic from other drones. one time i was at a popular spot and there were like 4 other mavics in the air, video was choppy for everyone

is your phone getting hot? i know you said youre using the RC controller not a phone but just asking. also have you tried a different USB cable if youre doing screen mirroring anywhere. sometimes its not the RF side at all, its just the data display pipeline choking. idk if that applies to your setup but worth ruling out
