yeah this is kind of embarasing to post but ive now failed the part 107 test twice and im starting to wonder if im just studying the wrong things or if the test is harder than people say. first time i wasnt super prepared i'll admit that. but i studied for like 6 more weeks after and still didnt pass. i feel like i know the airspace stuff pretty well at this point. my score went up a bit but still not enough. the testing center i go to doesnt really tell you which categories you missed, just like a broad breakdown. has anyone else struggled with this more than expected? starting to feel like maybe im missing something obvious.

dont get discouraged, i know a few people who took it more than twice. the score breakdown should actually tell you the knowledge areas where you underperformed even if it doesnt show individual questions, did you look at that closely? usually theres like a list of the subject areas and it shows which ones you were weak in. if weather and weather services keep coming up thats a whole rabbit hole of METARs and TAFs and pireps that a lot of people just gloss over because it seems boring. also the NOTAM and TFR stuff catches people off guard sometimes.

honestly the sectional chart stuff has like a million little details that are easy to miss. i thought i knew it and then on my test there were a few questions where i second guessed myself on things like the magenta vs blue airport symbols and what the little tick marks mean. maybe go back to the actual FAA aeronautical chart users guide, its a free PDF and kind of dry but it has everything. also make sure youre not just memorizing answers on practice tests without understanding why, because the real questions are sometimes worded completely different from what you practiced and if you dont actually understand the concept you'll get tripped up.
