so this has been happening for about three weeks now and i cant figure out if its the drone, the controller, or something in my area. basically im flying fine and then out of nowhere the feed drops and the controller beeps and i get that disconnected warning. drone stays in the air thankfully but its terrifying every time. it usually reconnects within like 10-15 seconds but still.

its not always in the same location, happened at two different spots now so i dont think its interference from a specific tower or whatever. i did update the firmware maybe a month ago and im wondering if that messed something up but i cant roll it back as far as i know.

the controller battery is always full when i go out so thats not it. anybody seen this with the EVO II? feels like a known issue but i cant find a definitive answer anywhere.

yeah this happened to me with my EVO II a while back, turned out to be the wifi channel congestion more than anything else. the Autel app has an option to switch between channels manually i think, try poking around in the remote settings. also make sure you're on the 5.8ghz band if your controller supports it, makes a difference in busy areas.

if none of that helps honestly just reach out to Autel support directly. i know people groan about that but they actually responded to me within a day and walked me through a full recalibration sequence that fixed a similar dropout issue i was having. not saying your problem is the same but worth a shot before you go crazy trying to figure it out yourself.

random thought but did you check if the antennas on the controller are seated properly? sounds dumb but mine worked loose at some point and i had weird intermittent signal problems for ages before i noticed. also flying in areas with lots of 2.4ghz stuff around can cause this even if you think its a clean environment.
