so this has been driving me crazy for the past couple weeks. im flying my mavic 3 and it just randomly drops connection, not every flight but maybe 1 in every 3 or 4. it reconnects within a few seconds usually but ive had a couple times where it went into RTH which is fine i guess but annoying when youre in the middle of a shot.

the weird thing is it doesnt seem to be distance related. happened yesterday at maybe 80 meters out and i was at 40m altitude, nothing crazy. no tall buildings nearby, i was in a pretty open field. wifi scanner on my phone shows a bunch of 2.4 networks in the area but i thought the mavic 3 handles that automatically with the O3 system.

checked all the cables on the RC-N1, they seem fine. anyone had this before or know what i should actually be checking here

O3 does handle it automatically but thats kind of a myth that it just magically avoids everything. if you have a really dense 2.4 environment it can still get hammered. first thing id do is go into the DJI fly app and manually lock it to 5.8 if you can, that clears up a lot of the random disconnects people blame on other stuff. the RC-N1 cable connection is also genuinely notorious for being loose, like even if it looks fine wiggle it while youre connected on the ground and see if the signal bar flickers. ive seen that cause exactly what youre describing.

had the same thing happen with mine near a sports complex, turned out there were like 12 gopro cameras all broadcasting on 2.4 from a filming crew nearby. switched to 5.8 and it was rock solid. might not be your situation but worth trying before you go down a rabbit hole of cable checks and firmware stuff
