my rolls feel so sluggish after retuning, what am i missing

so ive been trying to dial in my quad for freestyle after switching to a new stack and honestly the rolls just feel dead compared to before. like i can throw a split S no problem and the flips feel okay but the moment i try to do a quick snap roll or a juicy twisted rose the whole thing just feels like its fighting me. previous tune was on an older F7 board and everything felt snappy without much effort.

current setup is a 5inch on an F405 running betaflight 4.4, filters are mostly default with some RPM filter stuff enabled. rates feel similar to before but something is just off. anyone else gone through this after a stack swap

check your master multiplier and roll specific rate, sometimes when you reflash or swap boards the rates dont carry over exactly even if you think they did. also 4.4 tunes different from older versions, the default filter cutoffs changed i think. what are your P and D numbers on roll

had almost the exact same thing happen last month. turned out my motor order was slightly off after rewiring and it was causing weird yaw coupling on fast rolls. probably not your issue but worth double checking before you go deep into the PIDs
