okay so ive been going back and forth on this for like two weeks and i cant decide. im coming from never owning a drone before, just borrowed a friends mavic mini a few times and i really liked it but i want something thats mine and i want good image quality since i do a lot of hiking and landscape stuff.

the nano+ seems more portable which is great but i keep reading that the lite+ has a way better sensor and low light performance. my budget is around 750-800 so both are kind of in range depending on sales. does anyone here have experience with either? or even both? i dont want to just go off youtube reviews because half those guys are sponsored and dont even say it lol

also does the obstacle avoidance on the nano+ actually work well in real conditions or is it kind of a gimmick at that price point. genuinely unsure what to do here

had the lite+ for about 8 months and honestly its a great drone for the money. the 1/1.28 inch sensor is no joke, low light stuff comes out really clean compared to what i expected at this price. if youre doing landscape and hiking content i think youd be really happy with it. the nano+ is fine too but the sensor is smaller and it shows when lighting isnt perfect.

obstacle avoidance on the nano is decent for what it is ? front and rear sensors, they do actually kick in but i wouldnt trust them in dense forest or anything. more like a safety net than a true collision system. the lite+ has better coverage i think but i dont rely on either one, i just fly careful.

im in kind of the same boat lol been looking at both of these too. one thing i noticed is that the nano+ folds up way smaller which matters if youre actually carrying it on long hikes. the lite+ isnt huge but its definitely a step up in size. depends how serious you are about portability i guess
