thinking about swapping the stock camera on my Inspire ? is it actually worth it for real estate work

okay so ive been shooting real estate and some commercial stuff for about two years now on an Inspire 2 with the Zenmuse X5S and honestly the footage is fine, clients are happy, but ive been watching some comparison videos and reading about people swapping over to the X7 and im starting to get the itch. the X7 with the DL lenses is obviously a step up in terms of dynamic range and low light but is it actually noticeable in real world deliverables for real estate? like not in a controlled test but actual walkthrough videos and exterior shots in mixed lighting conditions.

the cost difference is pretty significant and im not doing cinema work where every stop of dynamic range matters. my current workflow is mostly 4K ProRes proxies, color grade in Resolve, deliver H.264. wondering if anyone has actually made this swap for similar work and whether they saw a meaningful difference or just a very expensive marginal improvement. also curious if the heavier payload on the X7 config noticeably affects flight time or handling because i notice the X5S already makes things feel a bit nose heavy in certain maneuvers

honest answer from someone who did exactly this swap about 18 months ago ? for pure real estate stuff the X7 is overkill and i say that as someone who loves the sensor. the X5S is already really good and if youre delivering web-compressed video to clients who are viewing it on a tablet or laptop screen they are not going to see the difference. where the X7 earns its keep is in genuinely difficult lighting, like shooting an exterior right at golden hour with a bright sky and dark shadow areas simultaneously, and even then you have to know how to pull that range in post or it doesnt matter. the weight is real too, you will lose maybe 4-5 minutes of flight time depending on conditions and yes it does change the feel a bit.

i dont have the X7 but ive shot with both and yeah the veteran above is right for RE work. though one thing nobody mentions ? the DL mount lenses are actually sharper corner to corner than the MFT stuff for the X5S which can matter if youre doing stills of property interiors. video probably wont matter but if you deliver stills as part of your packages it might be worth considering. also the cinematic color science on the X7 RAW is genuinely nicer to grade if you care about that kind of thing
