honest thoughts on the Mini 4 Pro after 6 months ? worth it or nah

so ive had the Mini 4 Pro since last spring and figured id share some actual thoughts since most reviews online are just people who got it for free or are trying to get affiliate clicks

the good stuff first ? image quality genuinely blew me away when i first took it out, the omnidirectional obstacle avoidance actually works unlike some drones where it just freaks out and hovers. battery life is decent, i usually get around 28-30 mins in real conditions not the 34 they claim but thats pretty normal

now the stuff that bugs me. the RC2 controller connection drops more than id like, happens maybe once every 3-4 flights and its usually fine but its annoying when youre trying to nail a shot. also the fly more combo is kind of a rip off for what you actually get, i bought it and honestly the ND filter set they include is pretty mediocre glass

overall though if youre coming from a Mini 2 or older and you do a lot of cinematic stuff its a solid upgrade. if youre just flying for fun and dont care about the obstacle avoidance stuff maybe save some money and look at other options. just my experience anyway

this pretty much matches what ive heard from a few people at my local club. the RC2 drop thing is a known issue and i think theres been some firmware that helped a little but didnt fully fix it. did you try the updated firmware from a few weeks ago? someone told me it improved things but i havent verified that myself

also totally agree about the fly more combo, i just bought extra batteries separately and grabbed a decent ND set from PolarPro, way better value honestly

im thinking about getting this as my first real drone (have a tiny whoop but thats different lol) and this was actually way more helpful than any youtube video ive watched. most of those guys just say everything is amazing and then link to their store. does the obstacle avoidance help if youre a beginner or does it just slow everything down
