my iflight chimera came with weird oscillations and i cant figure out if its pid or props

okay so this has been bugging me for a while. got the chimera7 pro v2 prebuilt about 6 weeks ago and right from the start there's this high frequency oscillation on fast rolls, like a jello-y wobble at the end of the manuever. looked it up and everyone says different things, some say its p gains too high, some say its props, some people are saying its a motor issue which is making me nervous

i went into betaflight and dropped p on roll from 52 down to 44 and it helped a tiny bit but didnt go away. props are the ones that came with it, gemfan 7040 i think. motors are the xing2 2806.5 so those should be fine right? running on 6s

also the video feed has some noise in corners which might be a separate issue or maybe not, i dont know. its my first 7inch so im not sure if this is just how they fly or if somethings actually wrong

7 inch quads are just kind of notoriously twitchy to tune compared to 5inch, the longer arms and bigger props make them way more sensitive to pid changes. the oscillations youre describing at the end of rolls sound like d term is too low rather than p being too high, dropping p usually just makes it feel sluggish without fixing the actual wobble. try bumping d on roll up by like 5-8 and see what happens before you do anything else

also check your filtering, 7inch often needs the rpm filter set up properly which means you need bidirectional dshot enabled and your motor poles configured right in betaflight. if thats not set up the filtering basically isnt doing what it should

the video noise in corners is almost definitely electrical interference from the motors loading up, pretty common on 6s 7inch builds. try adding a capactior to the battery leads if there isnt one already, made a huge difference on mine. separate issue from the oscillations though yeah
