ive repaired a few of these and nine times out of ten after a crash its either the ribbon or the motor. the ribbon ones are annoying because the damage can be like one tiny fold thats barely visible a
crashed my mavic pretty hard into a tree branch last week, nothing catastrophic but the gimbal has been pulling left ever since. the footage isnt unwatchable but theres like a constant 3-4 degree drift and it corrects and then drifts again kind of rhythmically. ive done the gimbal calibration thing twice in the app and it helps for like 5 minutes and then comes back.
i opened it up and i cant see anything obviously broken, no cracked ribbon cables that i can tell, the roll motor feels maybe slightly rougher than the other two when i spin it by hand but i dont know if thats just me imagining things at this point. repair shops around here want almost as much as a used replacement gimbal to look at it so trying to figure out if its worth messing with myself first
