crashed my mavic pretty hard into a tree branch last week, nothing catastrophic but the gimbal has been pulling left ever since. the footage isnt unwatchable but theres like a constant 3-4 degree drift and it corrects and then drifts again kind of rhythmically. ive done the gimbal calibration thing twice in the app and it helps for like 5 minutes and then comes back.

i opened it up and i cant see anything obviously broken, no cracked ribbon cables that i can tell, the roll motor feels maybe slightly rougher than the other two when i spin it by hand but i dont know if thats just me imagining things at this point. repair shops around here want almost as much as a used replacement gimbal to look at it so trying to figure out if its worth messing with myself first

the rhythmic drift thing sounds like it could be the IMU on the gimbal board getting confused, sometimes a good knock will shift something internally even if the ribbon looks fine from outside. that said the rougher roll motor is suspicious, if the bearings took a hit they can cause exactly that kind of feedback loop where it keeps trying to correct and overshooting slightly.

if you can source just the roll motor assembly its usually not that expensive for mavic stuff, aliexpress has them though quality varies. i wouldnt pay a shop that much just to diagnose it honestly

ive repaired a few of these and nine times out of ten after a crash its either the ribbon or the motor. the ribbon ones are annoying because the damage can be like one tiny fold thats barely visible and it causes intermittent connection issues that look exactly like what your describing. try very gently reseating the ribbon connectors before you do anything else, sometimes thats literally all it takes
