so ive been building out a small indoor track in a warehouse space we rent on weekends, ceiling is maybe 6 meters and the footprint is roughly 25x40 meters which sounds decent but once you start laying out gates it gets cramped fast. been running 5 gates right now with a split-s section in the middle and honestly its fine for practice but feels boring after like 20 laps.
thinking about adding two more gates and tightening the spacing on the back straight but im not sure if thats going to make it just frustrating rather than technical. theres a difference between a track thats tight and technical vs just annoyingly narrow. anyone built indoor tracks in similar sized spaces and have thoughts on this? also curious what gate width people are running indoors ? im on 1.5m wide HDL gates currently
