so ive been flying regular cinematic drones for like 2 years now (mavic mostly) and im finally ready to try FPV. ive been watching videos for months and i feel like i have a decent grasp of the basics but honestly im still confused about whether i should just buy something prebuilt like a DJI Avata or one of those Freestyle prebuilts, or if i should just dive in and build a 5 inch from scratch.
everyone seems to have a really strong opinion on this and its hard to know whos actually giving good advice vs just being a snob about building. like i get that building your own teaches you a lot about repairs but im not sure i want to spend 3 months just figuring out how to solder before i even fly. at the same time i dont want to spend money on something thats gonna feel like training wheels forever
my main interest is freestyle, not racing. budget is probably around 400-500 dollars all in if thats even realistic
