This has been driving me crazy for the last few weeks and i cant figure out if something is actually wrong or if im just doing something dumb. Flying in an open field basically zero obstructions and im getting signal warnings and sometimes a brief disconnect at like 800 meters. This thing is supposed to go way further than that and i used to get way better range out of it before, like easily 3km without any issues.

Nothing really changed that i can think of. Same RC Pro controller, same location i always fly, firmware is up to date. Only thing i can think of is maybe interference but i dont know why it would suddenly get worse. Anyone had something similar or know what to even check first?

Few things i'd check ? first make sure your RC Pro antennas are oriented correctly, they should be pointing up and angled out a bit, not flat. Sounds obvious but its easy to forget when you're focused on flying. Also check if there's been any new cell towers or wifi networks popped up near your usual spot, interference can genuinely creep up on you like that.

Also worth going into the DJI Fly app and checking which transmission channel its on, you can switch between auto and manual and sometimes locking to a specific frequency band helps if there's congestion. I had a similar thing happen and it turned out my neighbor got a new router that was blasting 2.4ghz right in the direction i usually launch from which sounds ridiculous but yeah that was it.

did this start after a firmware update? cause i swear the last couple updates changed something with how the signal behaves, seen a few people mention it on reddit too. might be worth checking if you can roll back or at least see if others on the same firmware version are having it.
