so ive had my mini 3 pro for about 3 months now and i noticed when i hover it inside my living room it just slowly drifts around even when im not touching anything. outside its fine mostly but indoors it just wanders off. i checked that the gimbal was calibrated and i think the IMU is fine? i dunno. its not like crashing into walls or anything but its enough that i cant get smooth stationary shots. anyone else dealt with this or is my unit weird

yeah this is pretty normal for any drone indoors honestly, the mini 3 doesnt have downward vision sensors that work well in low contrast environments like carpet or hardwood. GPS is basically useless indoors too so its just running on the barometer and IMU which arent perfect. you can try flying over something with more texture or pattern on the floor and it might help a bit. but realistically if you want rock solid hover indoors you probably need something with better optical flow sensors. the mini series just isnt really designed for indoor use

I had the same thing happen to me when I first got mine and I panicked thinking something was broken lol. Turned out I just needed to do a fresh IMU calibration on a completely flat surface ? like I used a piece of glass. Seemed to help a little? Still drifts some indoors but way less than before. Also make sure youre not near anything with a strong magnetic field, I had my router nearby and I swear that made it worse but I cant prove that
