Been trying to actually learn manual mode on the DJI FPV (not acro, just manual) and theres this annoying drift happening where the drone just kind of wanders left if I let go of the sticks. Tried recalibrating the IMU twice already and did the compass cal before my last session. Wind was pretty calm, maybe 5mph at most so I dont think its just getting pushed around.

The thing is it only really shows up after about 10 minutes of flying, when its cold at the start it seems fine. Makes me wonder if somethings warming up and causing issues. Running the latest firmware, motors all look clean. Not sure if I should be looking at the controller or the drone itself. Anyone seen something like this before

That thermal drift pattern you're describing is actually a known thing with some IMU setups ? gyros can shift slightly as they warm up and if the calibration was done cold that offset compounds over time. Try doing your IMU cal after the drone has been powered on for like 5 minutes instead of right at startup. Sounds counterintuitive but it basically gets you a calibration closer to your actual flying temps.

Also worth checking if the drift is consistent ? always left, or does it change direction session to session. If its always the same direction it might be a trim issue or even very slightly bent motor shaft rather than anything software related.

had something simlar and it turned out one of my motor screws was just slightly loose and causing vibration that was feeding bad data into the FC. worth checking before you go down the calibration rabbit hole honestly. took me like two weeks of messing with settings before i actually looked at the physical stuff
