First time flying in the US - Do I need to take TRUST and register if visiting for 2 weeks?

I'm visiting from Canada for two weeks and want to fly my DJI Mini 3 (weighs 249g) recreationally at some scenic spots. I've seen conflicting info about what requirements apply to international visitors. Do I need to take the TRUST test and register my drone even for short-term recreational flying? Also wondering if there are any specific state rules I should be aware of when flying in California and Nevada.
