this has been bugging me for a while now and im kind of at my limit with it. my nano plus drops signal randomly, sometimes at like 50 meters sometimes further, sometimes right after takeoff. its not consistent at all which makes it even harder to figure out. i live in a pretty suburban area so yeah there's some interference but ive flown in the same spots with my friends mavic mini and he never has issues.

ive already updated firmware, recalibrated the compass twice, tried different phones. the range just seems way worse than what autel claims and the disconnects are honestly starting to make me nervous. anyone else had this and actually fixed it?

yeah the nano series has had some signal issues that were kind of known in the community for a while. a few things worth checking ? first make sure your phone case isnt covering the antenna area on the controller, sounds dumb but it made a real difference for me. also try disabling wifi on your phone before flying, just run on data or airplane mode with bt off, the 2.4ghz interference thing is real especially in suburban areas.

if its still dropping after that it might genuinely be a hardware issue with the controller antenna. autel support has been pretty decent in my experience, better than dealing with dji support anyway. might be worth just emailing them with a description and the flight logs if you have them

honestly the nano line was always the one i was skeptical about, they pushed it out pretty fast to compete with the mini 3 and i think some of the units had qc issues early on. not saying yours is definitely defective but the inconsistency you're describing does sound more like a hardware thing than a settings thing. the mavic mini comparison is telling too
