keeps drifting when i let go of the sticks??

so this has been bugging me for a while and im not sure if its me or the drone. whenever i let go of the sticks it doesnt just stay put, it kind of drifts slowly in one direction, usually forward or to the left depending on where im flying. im outside, not indoors if that matters. friend told me it might be a calibration thing but i already did that. its not like crazy drifting but when youre trying to get a steady shot its annoying. is this normal or is something wrong with mine

what drone is it? makes a big difference here. some cheaper ones dont have great GPS hold and if youre in an area with weak signal or interference they wont hold position super well. also wind matters way more than people think, even a light breeze can push a lighter drone around and it looks like drifting but the drone is actually just not powerful enough to fully compensate. if its a GPS mode drone and youre getting like 12+ satellites locked it should hold pretty decently, so if its still drifting thats worth looking into more

had this exact thing with my first drone turned out it was just the wind and i had no idea because i was looking down at the screen the whole time not paying attention to the trees moving around me. now i always check the wind before going out, theres an app called UAV Forecast i use. not saying thats definitely your issue but worth ruling out before you start digging into calibration stuff or sending it in
