okay so i've had my Air 2S for almost two years now and mostly just been flying it around my neighborhood and local parks which is fine but never really pushed it. finally took a proper trip out to Zion national park last month and wow. just wow. the thing performed way better than i expected in some of the canyon areas, though obviously theres a lot of places you cant legally fly in a national park so i did my research beforehand and stuck to areas just outside the park boundary.
wind was the big variable. some mornings were completely dead calm and the footage looks incredible, like the stabilization on that sensor just handles everything. but one afternoon we had gusts coming through the canyon that i was not prepared for and the drone was fighting pretty hard. still came home fine but i was sweating a little watching it. sport mode got me back faster when i got nervous.
one thing i wasnt expecting ? battery life was noticeably shorter than at home. we're at altitude out there and i think that affects things. had four batteries with me which felt like plenty at home but felt like barely enough out there. just something to keep in mind if anyone is planning a similar trip. overall though, 10/10 would absolutely do it again, the footage is some of the best ive ever gotten
