anyone else just sit outside with their drone and not even fly it

so this is gonna sound weird but sometimes i just go out to my usual spot, set up the drone, and then just... sit there. like i'll do pre-flight checks and then just kind of stare at the sky for 20 minutes and pack it back up. idk if its the fresh air or just having an excuse to get away from the house but it works for me. the drone barely matters at that point honestly

dude yes. i do this all the time with my mini 3. half the time i go out "to fly" and just end up watching other peoples dogs run around the park. flew maybe 4 batteries worth last month and probably spent double that time just sitting there. no regrets tbh

honestly the ritual of it is half the point. setting up the controller, checking the props, it's almost meditative. my wife thinks im obsessed but she doesnt get that sometimes i just need a reason to leave lol
