ok so this is partly a vent and partly genuine curiosity. i posted a clip on one of the facebook groups, just a simple beach flight i did last month, nothing crazy, wide shots of the coastline some reveal shots coming up over a dune. thought it was pretty solid for where im at.

got a bunch of comments saying the footage was overexposed and that my ND filters were wrong for the conditions. which, fair, i was still figuring out the 180 degree shutter rule at the time. but then someone went off about how the music choice was cliche and honestly that kind of stung more than the technical stuff. is there like a better place to share work where people are more constructive without being weird about it? or do i just need to grow thicker skin

facebook drone groups are honestly brutal and not always in a useful way. theres a difference between someone pointing out your shutter speed and someone just being a snob about your music taste. id try vimeo or even just posting here, people tend to actually explain why something isnt working rather then just dunking on you

the overexposure feedback is worth taking seriously tbh, the 180 rule stuff makes a huge difference once it clicks. but yeah music is so subjective i wouldnt lose sleep over that. what drone are you shooting on and were you shooting in dlog or just auto? that changes a lot in terms of how much headroom you have to work with in post
