so ive been flying for about 8 months now and i feel like this is the first time i actually got something worth showing people. went out to the reservoir near my place around 6am before anyone else showed up and the light was just perfect, that golden hour stuff actually works lol

did a slow pull back from the water surface and then climbed up to maybe 80 meters and panned around. the color grading took me forever because i shot in d-log and im still figuring that whole thing out honestly. uploaded it to youtube if anyone wants to take a look, link is in my profile. be honest with me i can take it

the pullback reveal thing is so satisfying when it works. d-log is a pain at first but once it clicks you'll never go back to shooting in auto. what drone are you on? that makes a big difference for how you handle the log footage in post

watched it, genuinely nice for 8 months in. the horizon looked a tiny bit tilted in one of the clips but honestly most people wont notice. the water reflection shots were the best part imo
