not sure if this is the right place but i mostly do stills not video. been trying to get those really sharp dramatic landscape shots you see everywhere and mine just look kind of... flat and boring even though they look fine on the controller screen when im flying. im shooting jpeg which is probably the issue someone told me but idk raw files are so big and my laptop struggles

also shot over some cliffs last weekend and the wind was brutal, kept fighting the stick inputs the whole time which was stressful, almost called it early but glad i stayed because one of the shots actually came out really good. maybe just got lucky

yeah jpeg is definitely killing you, the compression just throws away so much dynamic range especially in skies. if your laptop cant handle raws maybe try shooting raw+jpeg and only pull the raws for shots you actually care about. also what are your sharpening settings in whatever editor youre using

the screen on the controller lies to you honestly, it always makes everything look better than it is. i learned that the hard way too. raw is annoying to start with but theres no going back once you edit a properly exposed raw file and see what you can pull out of the shadows
