so this was a few weeks ago and i still think about it. was flying my Mavic Air 2 out over a reservoir near my house, maybe 400 meters out and probably 60 meters up, totally normal conditions, clear sky, very light wind. and then the RC just goes grey and i get the disconnected warning.
i had return to home set to hover which in retrospect was maybe not the smartest choice over open water but i panicked a bit and just waited. it felt like forever but i think it was maybe 20 seconds before the signal came back and i just immediately flew it back. no idea what caused it, there wasnt any obvious interference i could see. someone mentioned 2.4 vs 5.8ghz switching could cause a brief dropout but i dont really understand how that works technically.
