so ive been dealing with this for like three weeks now and im at the point where im just gonna post about it because googling hasnt really helped. i have a zenmuse x7 on my inspire 2 and after i do a full gimbal calibration it works fine for maybe 10-15 minutes of flight and then starts to drift, mostly on the roll axis. like it'll slowly creep maybe 2-3 degrees and then correct itself but the footage obviously shows it.

its not a huge drift but when you're doing slow cinematic pulls it's very noticeable in post. ive tried recalibrating on flat surfaces, ive tried it on the aircraft itself before takeoff, same result. firmware is up to date. the thing is it doesnt do it every single flight, sometimes its totally fine, which makes me think maybe its a temperature thing? it tends to get worse when the motors have been running longer. anyway curious if anyone has dealt with this or knows if there's some setting im missing.

yeah the x7 can be finicky about this, had the same issue on mine last year. turned out one of the gimbal ribbon cables had a very slight intermittent connection, not enough to throw an error but enough to cause the IMU inside the gimbal to get inconsistent readings. you'd never see it unless you're looking for it. i'd check the connection points at both ends of the cables before assuming it's a calibration issue.

also worth trying ? do your calibration AFTER the aircraft has been sitting powered on for a few minutes so everything is at operating temp. cold calibration on warm hardware can cause exactly what you're describing with the gradual drift creep.

not sure about the x7 specifically but ive noticed on my ronin gimbals that if theres any slight imbalance in the payload it stresses the motors and you get that kind of subtle drift when they start warming up. is your lens configuration the same as when you first set it up? sometimes swapping lenses and not rebalancing is enough to cause it
