okay so im relatively new, been on tiny whoops for about 8 months and i want to step up to a proper 5inch build but honestly the component choices are overwhelming me and ive decided im just gonna buy a bind and fly to start with. narrowed it down to iFlight or Flywoo because those seem to be the two names that come up the most when i search around but i genuinely cannot tell the difference between them from the spec sheets alone

mostly gonna be doing park flying and maybe some light freestyle once i get comfortable. budget is around 200-250 for the quad itself, i already have a radio (RadioMaster Boxer) and goggles sorted. anyone have strong feelings either way or have owned both? also does it matter much which one i pick if im just learning at this stage anyway

at your stage it honestly doesnt matter that much, both are gonna fly better than you can at first and thats not an insult just reality lol. that said i do have a slight preference for iFlight just because their quality control seems more consistent and its easier to find replacement parts. had a Flywoo once and the motor screws were stripped right out of the box which was annoying, could have been a one off but still left a bad taste

the Nazgul5 V3 is probaly in your budget range and its a solid quad for learning freestyle. binds to your Boxer no problem, just make sure you grab the ELRS version not the FrSky one since youre on a RadioMaster already. also budget like 20-30 bucks for spare props because you will go through them fast when youre learning

Flywoo fanboy here so take this with a grain of salt but i've been running their Goblin series for over a year with zero major issues. think the reputation difference between these brands is more forum mythology than actual quality gap at this point. both source from similar manufacturers in china anyway

one thing i'd actually push back on is the whole BnF recommendation in general ? you're gonna want to open it up and mess with settings eventually and if you dont understand what you're looking at because you didnt build it, that learning curve hits harder later. but again you know your own situation better than i do
