Been working on juicy flicks for about 2 months now and I swear my quad has developed a taste for dirt. Every single attempt ends with me doing a grass inspection. I've got the forward flip down solid, but when I try to add that immediate roll for the backward momentum, something goes horribly wrong.

I'm running stock rates on my 5" (around 500 deg/s). Should I bump them up or is it all about timing? What am I missing here?

Also getting frustrated because my one successful attempt was pure luck and I have no idea how I pulled it off!

The timing has to be perfect, and honestly lower rates might help you feel the movements better first.

Stock rates at 500 should be fine for learning. Try practicing in the simulator first - you can crash all you want without breaking props. I spent hours in Liftoff before attempting my first real juicy flick. The muscle memory helps tons.
