so ive been messing around with hyperlapse mode on the Air 3 for a few weeks now and honestly i feel like im still not getting the results i see other people post. like the footage looks fine but theres always this weird stuttery thing happening in the final video especially when theres clouds moving. im shooting in circle mode mostly, using the default settings which im starting to think is maybe the problem

currently just leaving interval on auto and letting the drone decide. should i be setting this manually? i shoot mostly at golden hour if that matters. also not sure if i should be in normal mode or slow mode for the final output, the manual is not super helpful on this

anyone who actually uses hyperlapse a lot ? what interval timing do you use and does exposure mode matter for this

yeah auto interval is probably working against you for clouds, they move fast enough that you want a shorter interval or the motion looks choppy instead of smooth. i usually set mine manually around 2-3 seconds for clouds and sky stuff. also make sure youre locking exposure manually before you start the sequence ? if the drone is adjusting exposure mid-hyperlapse thats almost certainly causing the flicker youre seeing. set it in manual mode, dial in your settings, then start. makes a huge difference

for output i always do the free shooting option and process it myself in LR or resolve rather than using the in-camera processing, gives you way more control over the final look

not sure about the technical side of it but i had the same stuttery problem and someone told me to make sure my ND filters were on so the shutter speed stays consistent. was using it without filters at golden hour and yeah the exposure was all over the place. slapped an ND8 on and it got a lot better. might not be your exact issue but worth checking
