Currently running DJI FPV V2 goggles with stock antennas and considering the TrueRC Duality upgrade. Planning to also build a Walksnail Avatar quad - will the same antennas work for both systems?

I know DJI goggles come with LHCP antennas, and if you upgrade the goggle's antennas, you can choose either RHCP or LHCP as long as they match. But what about switching between DJI drone mode and Avatar VTX mode?

• Will I need separate antenna sets?
• Any overheating concerns switching frequency bands?
• Performance difference between stock vs TrueRC for Avatar system?

You don't need to worry about overheating the transmitters as there is still an impedance matched load attached, but reception will suffer somewhat with wrong frequency but the transmitter is in no danger. However, dual-band antennas solve this issue completely.

Stock antennas are "okayish" but in testing, the stock antennas had more frequent and more pronounced drops in bitrate compared to the TrueRC antennas - TrueRC makes some of the best antennas available and their performance speaks for itself.
