so ive been putting off getting into FPV for like two years now because every time i start researching it turns into this massive rabbit hole of what FC to use, what motors, soldering iron recommendations etc etc. finally just said forget it and ordered a Diatone Roma F5 V2 like three weeks ago and honestly... pretty happy with it so far
out of the box it flew okay but definitely needed some work on the rates and filters. the stock tune felt a little mushy on quick direction changes, not terrible but you could tell it wasnt dialed in. spent an evening running RPM filters through Betaflight and messing with the D term and its flying way better now. not like a custom build youve spent weeks on but genuinely solid for what it is
props that came with it were garbage by the way, swapped to HQProp 5x4.8x3 and that made a pretty big difference too. anyone else running this frame or similar diatone stuff? curious what tunes people landed on
