trying to decide between a couple prebuilts in the like 200-280 dollar range for a first real FPV quad. been flying a tiny whoop for a few months so im not completely green but also not ready to drop 400 bucks on components and build something when i dont even know if ill stick with it

the Nazgul Evoque keeps coming up everywhere and the iFlight Chimera looks interesting too but honestly the spec sheets dont tell me much because i dont have enough experience to know what actually matters in practice vs on paper. someone at my local club mentioned the BetaFPV Aquila but i cant find much real world feedback on it, mostly just the product page stuff

mainly want to fly freestyle, probably some light cruising around parks and fields. not racing. budget goggles situation right now so nothing crazy on the video quality front yet. what would you actually buy

Nazgul Evoque is the easy answer here and ive recommended it to probably five or six people now. its not perfect but the support and community around it means when something goes wrong you can actually find answers. the Chimera is fine but iFlight's QC has been inconsistent in my experience, had one with a bad ESC right out of the box and getting it sorted was annoying. for a first proper quad you really want something that isnt gonna have you fighting hardware issues before youve even learned to fly it

honestly i'd just get the Evoque, same boat as you when i started and it held up through a lot of crashes while i was learning. only thing id say is budget a little extra for a proper set of props because the ones it ships with are whatever. also if your goggles situation is analog right now the DJI O3 version of the Evoque is probably overkill, just get the analog or walksnail version and save the money
