so i was just scrolling through my feed this morning and apparently DJI dropped some info about a new mini series coming and honestly i cant tell if its real or just another leak that went nowhere. ive been burned before with these rumors. the specs people are talking about sound almost too good for that price range though and if the obstacle avoidance is actually improved over the mini 4 pro that would be huge for me personally since i fly a lot in wooded areas and it still makes me nervous.

anyway has anyone seen actual confirmed info on this or are we still in rumor territory? also weirdly i havent seen much coverage on the reg side of things ? wasnt there supposed to be some updated remote ID enforcement thing rolling out this year in the US? feels like that quietly disappeared from the conversation

yeah the remote ID enforcement stuff kind of fell off everyones radar after the initial panic about it. from what i understand the FAA has been doing spot checks but its not like theres a whole task force hunting people down. that said i wouldnt fly without it at this point just not worth the headache if you happen to run into someone official at a field.

as for the DJI thing i saw the same posts and honestly im treating it as a rumor until theres a proper product page. DJI leaks have been all over the place lately and half of them dont pan out the way people expect. that said the timing would make sense given their usual release cadence so maybe keep an eye on their socials around Q2.

omg i saw this too and immediately went down a rabbit hole for like an hour lol. the part about improved wind resistance got me excited because my mini 4 pro has had some sketchy moments in anything over 20mph. fingers crossed its not just marketing fluff
